THE SPOTLIGHT

     A movie producer sent out his crew to produce a movie, when it was time for the acting everyone wanted to act but no one wanted to hold the camera or stay behind the scene, the producer on getting to the place was expecting some progress but was disappointed at what he saw. They hadn't even started a thing all they were doing was fighting over who was going to act and stay behind the scene, there by making no progress. The producer thought of what he could do to stop all these, when an idea came to him, then he said 'Attention everyone (everyone stopped what they were doing and listened) this is what we're going to do, I figured everyone of you wants to be in front of the camera, but no one wants to be behind the scene.....' Yes! (they chorused) 'okay everyone go and stay in front of the camera' (they all went and started picking up roles to act), after doing that the producer asked 'are you done?' yes sir! okay....let's begin the movie,( they all took positions in front of the camera but looked confused because there was no one to hold the camera and stay behind the scene),

        The producer understood this and asked 'who wants to stay behind the scene? but no one moved, alright everyone hold the camera and stay behind the scene..... they all did but looked confused and murmured amongst themselves 'who's going to stay in front of the camera, go stay in front of this the producer replied. this same activity went on for hours till they all got tired. They started complaining about them not making any progress when one of them said 'if this is how foolish it is to not make any progress then I'm  going to stay behind the camera' including me another volunteered. this was how some of them decided to stay behind the camera and some in front of it. 

         After all was said and done they finally produced the movie which was a success, when it was time to receive awards they emerged the first and their crew was well honored. Each and everyone of them was awarded and given accolades. They couldn't believe it when their names were called on the the stage. After the award night they decided to have dinner, on getting there they all cheered and chatted happily, 'I didn't know this is how it feels to be honored,' one of them said 'including I'. 

        You see guys the producer said " Not everyone would be in the spotlight or in front of the camera and not everyone would hold it or stay behind, what matters is you knowing the role that suits you and playing your parts well, because in the end we would be rewarded and no one is lesser than the other. we're all part of that beautiful play and every bit of role we played matters". Hmmm you're right producer (they chorused). 'But who would have known we almost tore each other apart simply because of this. Omolara the unserious one, chipped in cheers! (they all laughed) can't wait to play my role  behind the camera again' she added which made them laugh harder 'unserious element' the producer said.
